Danny Espinoza Obituary

Daniel "Danny" Espinoza, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2026, in Houston, TX, at the age of 75. Born on April 5, 1950, in Mission, TX, Danny was a man of intelligence, adventure, and profound love for his family and friends.

Danny was a proud graduate of the University of Texas-Pan American, where he earned his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. His academic achievements led him to work at Hartford Insurance in Connecticut. After completing his training, he transferred to Houston, marking the beginning of a distinguished and varied career. Danny's professional journey saw him contribute his talents to several organizations, including Southwestern Bell in Austin, San Antonio, and Ft. Worth; Health and Human Services in San Antonio; the Texas Department of Transportation in Childress and Pharr; and Zachary Construction in San Antonio, Florida, and Virginia.

Beyond his professional life, Danny lived his faith through his actions and the love he showed to others. His interests were as diverse as his career, with a passion for baseball, softball, music, and the thrill of betting on games. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as spending time with his family, barbequing, and savoring his favorite drink. His adventurous spirit was matched only by his loving nature, and he will be remembered for the wisdom and selflessness.

Danny's family was the cornerstone of his life. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Martha Espinoza of 53 years, with whom he shared countless cherished moments. His legacy continues through his daughters, Francis d’Danielle Castro (Rodolfo) and Martha Nicole Perez (Marcos), and his grandchildren, Johnathan Daniel Castro (Pamela), Andrew Rene Castro (Amanda), and Ariana Danielle Castro. Danny was also a doting great-grandfather to Kaylee Danielle Castro, Josiah Rene Castro, Izaiah Marcel Castro, and Alaiyah Renae Castro, who will grow up hearing stories of their great-grandfather's love and adventures.  He is also survived by his extended family that includes Pauline Trevino, David Espinoza (Naomi), Denise Mendez (Daniel), and James Espinoza.

He was predeceased by his sister Teresa de Jesus Espinoza, brother Luis Espinoza, mother Agapita Delgado Espinoza, brother Juan "Johnny" Espinoza, and father Marcelino Espinoza. He is survived by his brother Jose Luis Espinoza (Edelmira), and his sister-in-law Edna Espinoza, who, along with the rest of the family, will miss Danny's presence deeply.

Danny's life was one of purpose, joy, and love. He touched the lives of many and leaves behind a legacy that family always comes first. His memory will be treasured in the hearts of those who knew him, and his spirit will live on through the stories shared by his loving family and friends. He will be profoundly missed, but the impact of his love and life will resonate for generations to come.
